Canada Garden days
Enjoyed by all who attended.....
Sunday, June 11 to Wednesday, June 14
Sunday, June 11
Truss Show 12:00-2:00
Come and check out the diversity of rhododendron blooms (“trusses”) grown by our members in Nova Scotia! Try to choose your favourite from our display at the Atlantic Rhododendron and Horticultural Society (ARHS) table by the Main Gates.
Botanical Artists of Nova Scotia Association (BANSA) 12:00-2:00
Botanical art is not strictly flower painting, though that's often the subject. Members of this association also paint fungi, moss, leaves, and even vegetables. Watch as they paint throughout the gardens, practising this very exacting art - it's the details and accuracy that is important for these painters.
Walking Tour of the Rhododendron Collection in the Public Gardens 12:30-1:00
How old are those giant rhododendrons on the lawn?! Join Jay Wesley, retired Public Gardens horticulturalist, for a 25 minute walk through the Gardens and have all your questions about the rhododendron and azalea plantings answered.
Check back soon as more information on Dahlia Days will be posted.
